The Approach

Nutrition and health education should be practical and personalized to meet your needs, goals, and unique circumstances. “What Comes Next”

A course for young women

Girls are still growing into women, and yet there are so few comprehensive educational and supportive spaces carved out in our society for them to work through the biology of these changes - especially in an approachable, applicable, real life way.

I've created the “What Comes Next” curriculum to help girls navigate their pre-teen years, teen years, and early twenties with a little more clarity and autonomy. Regardless of sexuality, this is a space for biological girls to make sense of their bodies, what is becoming of them and learn how to care for their physiologies - all in a patient and non-judgmental environment.

One on one, or in a small group (friends together, or even siblings/family members) we'll talk about healthy vs not so healthy habits and food choices, what your body's signals are trying to tell you, how to handle symptoms and sensations as they arise, remedies for common ailments, and more.

Some things we’ll do in
What Comes Next”:

Discuss what is happening in our bodies throughout our hormonal cycles, + address common concerns

Examine mindset and the mind/body connection (+ learn tools to keep us feeling our best)

Learn how to fuel our bodies for optimal function (whole-food, macro-minded nourishment)

Make/eat healthy snacks and beverages (+ plate building/developing balanced dishes)

Hands-on holistic remedy making

…and more!

The Details…

About me

I've been a French teacher and tutor for 10 years, all throughout which I silently struggled with my health. Doctors were often puzzled with my lab results and I was given a handful of diagnoses (CAEBV/CFS, PCOS, endometriosis, GAD, OCD+BDD, depression, allergies, nutrient deficiencies...) plus an assortment of medications . I was told there was nothing I could do other than try to manage my symptoms. Unsatisfied, I've spent these past few years peeling back the layers, studying nutrition, herbalism, naturopathy, and bodywork. In this time, I've seen more progress and healing than in previous years. I've even been able to reverse some of my diagnoses, or at least go into remission.

Eating healthfully, of course, has been instrumental through all of this, and I'm grateful to my French and Hungarian grandparents for encouraging my participation in the kitchen from such an early age. Thanks to them, I'm not intimidated by food and cooking - and now, combined with an extensive understanding of nutrition and body systems, I hope to empower those around me to feel the same.

So, I'm shifting my teaching practice away from my love of language, as I've become dedicated to improving my well-being and the well-being of those around me as it feels fundamental and imperative, more than ever these days.
